Your meal data is encrypted on your device before it is transmitted to our servers. We cannot read your meal photos or nutrition data. Only devices that hold your encryption key can decrypt this data.
When you initiate an AI scan, the photo is transmitted through our servers to the AI provider for analysis. Neither we nor the AI provider store your photos after processing is complete.
We share data with a limited number of service providers (subprocessors) necessary to operate Mett. See our Subprocessor List for details.
Account data is retained while your account is active and deleted upon request. Encrypted meal data is retained until you delete it or request account deletion. Payment records are retained as required by tax law (typically 5 years in Norway).

Mett is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Mett uses AI to estimate the nutritional content of your meals. These estimates are informational only and do not constitute medical or dietary advice. No decisions with legal or similarly significant effects are made automatically.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use of Mett after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
