Cookie and Storage Notice
Last updated: April 4, 2026
Overview

Mett does not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. We only use browser storage mechanisms that are strictly necessary for the app to function. Under the ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary storage does not require consent.

What we store on your device
  • Authentication token
localStorage - JWT token to keep you signed in
  • User preferences
localStorage - language, location, calorie targets, meal schedule
  • Meal data
IndexedDB - your meals and photos, encrypted, for offline access
  • Sync state
IndexedDB - Yjs documents for data synchronization
Why no consent banner?

All storage listed above is strictly necessary for the service you requested. The ePrivacy Directive (Article 5(3)) exempts strictly necessary storage from the consent requirement. Since Mett uses no optional cookies or trackers, no consent banner is needed.

Third-party tracking

Mett does not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, or social media tracking pixels. We do not share browsing data with third parties.

Payment provider

When you make a purchase, Paddle (our payment provider) may set its own cookies during the checkout process. These are governed by Paddle's own cookie policy and are limited to the payment flow.

Your choices

You can clear all locally stored data through your browser settings or through the "Clear data" option in the Mett app settings. Note that clearing authentication data will sign you out, and clearing IndexedDB will remove your locally cached meals.
